As Primary Instructor:

2015-2016, I taught three courses as the primary instructor:
  • Fall (2015) and Winter (2016): Philosophical Perspectives on the Humanities (introductory seminars in the Core Humanities sequence on Ancient and Early Modern Philosophy and Literature, respectively; Click here for the Syllabus for Intro to Ancient Philosophy and Literature, and here for the Syllabus for Intro to Early Modern Philosophy and Literature).
  • Spring (2016):  The Emotions: Philosophy and Psychoanalysis (Advanced undergraduate seminar of my own design; Click here for the syllabus).

In previous years, I served as a Course Assistant in the Philosophy Department, as Teaching Assistant in the Social Sciences Core, and as a Writing Intern in the Humanities Core. (See my CV for a full list of taught courses, or email me for a copy of my teaching portfolio).

Pedagogical Training:

At the University of Chicago I participated in workshops on promoting inclusivity in the classroom, course design and syllabus composition.  Most significantly, I completed the quarter-long University of Chicago Writing Program’s Pedagogies of Writing training course. In my last year of graduate school, I solicited a personalized teaching evaluation from the Chicago Center for Teaching; click here to take a look at the Individual Teaching Consultation Report.
